Ephemeral

good-bye

Does it hurt to know

That we won’t be together,

Does it hurt to know

That you are the only one I’ll ever love;

We will never laugh, cry, or dream

Together again

We will never touch one

Another again;

Only days before I leave,

Days turn to hours

Hours turn into minutes,

Time runs like a waterfall

Rushing, raging like a

Blazing volcano;

I wish I could stop time,

I wish I could live forever,

I wish I wasn’t slipping into

The eternal, decaying moor;

I feel my spirit being

Drawn to the Erebus,

Vicious and malicious spirits

Tighten their grip on my internal life line;

I’m fading fast away,

Before I do,

I want to tell you;

I loved you yesterday

I love you today

I will love tomorrow

Until I breathe no more,

Far longer, forevermore
