WARRIOR

WARRIORI WAS BORN OF THE DIRT

OUT OF THE EARTH I ROSE

I STAND ALONE READY FOR BATTLE

HEAD HELD HIGH WITH MY CHEST OUT

I DON’T NEED A GUN, NO KNIFE

NO BOMBS, I DON’T NEED ARMOR

I HAVE THE DIRT OF THE EARTH

I HAVE A FIRE BLAZING INFERNO INSIDE

I HAVE MY ARMS AND HANDS

I HAVE MY LEGS AND FEET

I AM MADE OF STONE, A FIERCE BEAST

A BRAVE SPIRIT, A GALLANT HEART

 SCORCHING BLOOD IN MY VEINS, A FIERY HEART

WHATEVER THE SEASON, WHATEVER ELEMENT

A RAIN STORM, A BLISTERING BLIZZARD

THE BURNING HEAT OF THE SUN

DAY OR NIGHT DOESN’T MATTER

I’M ALWAYS READY FOR A FIGHT;

YOU CAN CUT MY SKIN BUT

YOU WON’T WATCH ME BLEED

YOU CAN STRIKE ME WITH YOUR BLADE

SLICE ME DEEP, THAT WON’T FAZE ME

I WILL HOWL AT THE WICKED MOON

SPIT IN THE DIRT PUT IT IN MY WOUND;

NO OCEAN TOO DEEP, NO RIVER TOO WIDE

NO DESERT TOO VAST, NO FOREST

TOO TREACHEROUS OR DARK

NO MOUNTAIN TOO HIGH

I BRAVE ALL ELEMENTS, ALL NATURAL

WONDERS OF THE WORLD;

YOU CAN KNOCK ME DOWN

BLACKEN MY BODY AGAIN AND AGAIN

 I WILL NEVER GIVE IN

TORTURE ME I WILL NOT SCREAM

I AM COURAGEOUS AND STRONG

I WILL NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER RUN

I AM A WARRIOR THROUGH AND THROUGH

FROM MY VERY CORE, HEART AND SOUL

IT’S ALL I AM, ALL I KNOW

A WARRIOR, A WARRIOR

UNTIL I BREATHE NO MORE

UNTIL MY BODY ONCE AGAIN EMBRACES

THE COLD DARK EARTH, THE VERY DIRT

FROM WHICH I WAS BORN

A letter

20170702_141851-2I’m writing you this letter
I can’t say to you all I want
How I feel to your precious face,
My words flow so easy on paper
I don’t get tongue tied
My emotions don’t get twisted
My heart doesn’t stop
I remember to breathe
When I’m not face to face
With you and your beauty;
I want you to know how
You make me feel
This letter to you is my heart
Hold on to it dearly;
I remember when you walked
Into my life so innocent,
So very full of life and beauty
My eyes focused on your
Every move, my ears held
Every word you breathed,
I watched your lips as you
Softly spoke, I watched as
You twirled your hair;
Did you see me, did you even
Notice my eyes were upon you
Did you just look past me;
I’m reaching out to you
In this moist letter
Will you return this letter unopened
Will you send me a letter,
Maybe you are also shy
Maybe, hopefully you feel the same
Maybe you take my hand and say
That you’ve been waiting for me
To talk to you to confess
My heart’s deepest, and intimate
Desire, or to just say to you
“Take my hand come with me
Fullfill my destiny, be my true
One and only lover, kiss me,
Hold me in your arms as we
Look into the horizon;
Please read this letter
Tell me we can be together

A VISION TO BEHOLD

EYES HAS SHE

TO LOOK UPON INDEED

EYES THAT SHINE

SO GENTLE AND KIND

EYES TO BEHOLD

OPENED OR CLOSED

HAZEL SOMETIMES GREEN

A VISION SO SERENE

NOSE TO EARS TO CHEEKS

MAKES ONE WEEK

LIPS MOIST, LUSCIOUS

VOICE GRACEFUL, MELODIOUS

HAIR OF BROWN

LOVELINESS ABOUND

SKIN SOFT, SMOOTH

HER PULCHRITUDE SOOTHES

SUNRISE, SUNSHINE

EYES NEVER BLIND

TO HER ELEGANCE, GRACE

MAKE HASTE, MAKE HASTE

SUCH A SIGHT TO SEE

GO WITH GREAT SPEED

BASK IN HER RADIANCE

A WONDROUS EXPERIENCE

TO YOUR KNEES YOU WILL FALL

YOU WILL BE IN AWE

OF WHAT YOU SEE

OF HER BEAUTY;

IS THAT THE SUN?

HAS HEAVEN COME?

IS IT THE SUNRISE?

NO, IT’S JUST HER EYES

HER SMILE, SHINNING THROUGH

HER WARMTH SO TRUE Continue reading “A VISION TO BEHOLD”

Would I could I

2017-04-07 14.31.14

There’s a girl I knew once upon a time
Not quite yesterday, not quite all my life
She seems to appear like a ghost
I can almost remember her
She is but a faded memory
So close, her face is out of reach;
Hair curly and beautiful
With flowers just a top,
A picture is supposed to tell
A thousand tales
A snapshot in time;
I would could I envision her
Her lovely face taunting me
Her sweet voice so clear once
This girl quite fair, how I strive
To remember, remember
Former years, to take a leap into
The past and grab her hand
Bring her with me
As I time travel to the future
To now, to this day
Just to say hello
I remember you fondly
Hello my friend of many Years
Glad you are here
Glad to see your smiling face;
Would I could I
You are but a dream now
A figment of my imagination
A fragment of my distant past
Oh, mind of mine
Dear brain, keeper of thoughts
Open up the iron door of memories
Let me peer inside I beg of you
Grant me this wish to gaze
Upon my friend’s face
Her most captivating eyes
To look upon her ravishing hair
This I ask, I eagerly plead;
How I desperately want to remember
Remember, remember
Would I could I

Because

2017-03-28 22.00.06The day, the day, the day
What a query
The sun beams about
With a purpose
Bringing heat, light
The dead night
Back to life
Do we ask why, no;
The night, the night, the night
Many questions
The sky turns dark
Stars gleam with beauty
The sun hides
Creatures slumber
The mad and scary
Greatly thrive;
The body, the body, the body
Numerous questions
The eyes, the brain
To see, to think
The feet, the hands
To walk, to touch
The heart, the veins
To feel, to spread pain;
The soul, the soul, the soul
Quite the query
Spirit of life
Where dreams spawn
Where love sparks
Inspiration is born
Connection to the universe
From body to Heaven;
Why does the sun shine
Why is the night sky dark
Why does the body feel
Why does the soul exist
Just because…

Human Being

wp-1489959660394.jpg

I am just a human being
What is inside can’t be seen
A broken, shattered heart
A frozen soul ice hard
Your eyes can’t pentatrate
My mind, you can’t alleviate
My deep hidden pain
You can’t help or change
Who I am or what I am
You won’t understand;
I make many mistakes
Gone through heartbreak
Misery is an unwanted friend
That visits time and again
Sadness is well known
The darkness is my home;
Into the mirror I gaze
I am caught in a haze
What do I see before me
A broken, fragile human being
I am not perfect, I am alive
If you could feel as I
You would massage my heart
Caress my mind which is dark
You would gently hold
My shattered, aching soul;
Can you show me how to smile
Am I too repulsive and vile
Teach me how to feel
Let your warm embrace heal
I am not normal, far from
You might just turn and run;
I am barely a man, disesteemed
By definition only, a human being

Dear Mr. Insane Pain

wp-1489959643348.jpgRUNNING AWAY FROM MYSELF

RUNNING AWAY TO MY DEATH

I CAN’T LIVE WITH MYSELF

I CAN’T DIE BUT ONE DEATH;

RUNNING TOWARDS TROUBLE

RUNNING FROM MY PAST

I CAN’T STEP INTO YESTERDAY

I CAN’T CRAWL INTO THE FUTURE

PRESENT DAY AND TIME

I AM TRAPPED IN A BUBBLE;

DEAR MISTER INSANE PAIN

WON’T YOU LET ME BREATHE

CAN’T YOU LET ME SEE

WHY WON’T YOU LET ME GO

YOUR TALONS PIERCE;

HELLO MY DEAR FRIEND,

WAKE UP AND HEAR ME

I’M CRYING, I’M RUNNING,

I’M SCREAMING IN MY BRAIN

DEAR MISTER INSANE PAIN RELEASE ME;

THE DEVIL SITS ON MY SHOULDER

“COME DANCE WITH ME;

MY FRIEND THE REAPER AWAITS

DON’T FEAR ANYTHING

THERE IS NO WRONG OR RIGHT”

IN MY MIND THERE ARE TWO

SIDES OF MY EXISTENCE

I’M RUNNING NO WHERE

I AM A SLAVE TO THE PAIN

MY ANGEL’S WINGS HAVE BEEN SLICED
